We are looking for either an existing QS or an electrician with several years of experience who can meet the NICEIC requirements.

Job roles include:

  • Supervising inspection and testing carried out by others.
  • Carry out EICR inspections
  • Checking and signing off on all types of certificates completed by our electricians. These will include EICs, EICRs, MWCs, as well as fire alarm and emergency lighting certificates.
  • 3-phase testing experience
  • Taking part in the annual NICEIC assessments.
  • Suggesting and helping implement changes to improve safety and quality of work
  • Leading team meetings concerning safety and quality
  • Responsible for the equipment calibration system
  • Overseeing work on site with respect to safety and quality.
  • Raising issues as appropriate with team members individually, notifying and recording findings to the management team.
  • Electrical installation and testing in a mix of residential, commercial and industrial properties. Working on your own and as part of a team.

From the NICEIC:

  • Have at least two years’ evidence of responsibility for the technical standard of electrical work and evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development.
  • Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
  • Understand the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.

Qualifications:
A few different qualification routes are suitable, but these must comply with the NICEIC requirements for a QS.

Typically, these might be:

  • NVQ Electrotechnical qualification to Level 3
  • BS7671 18th Edition
  • C+G 2391 test and inspection
  • Full UK driving licence

A full UK driving licence will be required.   You will be required to supply the majority of your own tools – the company also provides shared resource tools and equipment as required.

We are looking for someone who is fully qualified and has a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician.

The work involves electrical installation in a mix of residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Job tasks would include:
* Electrical installation to BS7671
* Inspection and testing of your own newly installed electrics, EICs, MWCs
* Working on larger projects/sites as part of a team
* Working on your own or with a trainee in people’s homes and businesses

Qualifications:
Level 3 electrical craft qualification required
NVQ preferred
18th Edition regs are an advantage

Many of our projects are in South London, but you would be expected to travel to different parts of London when required.

The position includes a company vehicle, which we would need to purchase specifically for this position. A full UK driving licence is required. It would be an advantage if you have your own transport to get between jobs initially. You will be required to supply the majority of your own tools and test equipment – the company also provides shared resource tools and equipment as required.

The work involves electrical installation in a mix of residential, commercial and industrial properties. You will be working as part of a team with one of our electricians. You would be trained on the job in all aspects of electrical installation work, including testing and fault-finding.  Many of our projects are in South London, but you would also be expected to travel to different parts of London when required.

We are looking for someone who is qualified (or almost qualified) to NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation but in need of more experience in the workplace.  We are looking for someone with 2 years of experience in a trainee or improver role.

To apply for this job, you must have a UK driving licence and your own transport to get to the job. You would be expected to supply your own hand tools.

  • Daily purchasing for upcoming jobs – ensuring ordering is done on time and will be on site when needed
  • Weekly follow-up of recent estimates with phone calls and emails
  • Courtesy phone calls for recently completed jobs
  • Monitoring the office email account and responding or forwarding where necessary
  • Collating data for back costing and invoicing
  • Assist with producing estimates
  • Assisting in the preparation and printing of documents required for site electricians
  • Purchase invoice data entry and reconciliation to accounting software
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages and making appointments
  • Entering client and job details into our system

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Maths and English GCSE to C grade or above
  • Excellent computer literacy, including spreadsheets, additional IT skills a plus
  • Good communicator and confident telephone manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, ability to self-organise and use own initiative when appropriate
  • Driving licence an advantage
  • Technical or electrical knowledge or background is an advantage

Salary:
Full-time £24,000 – £30,000 depending on skills and experience.
